The Loftek Nexus 543 is a very good all-around surveillance camera. It comes in a heavy duty, metal, outer shell with a descent excellent camera. Although you won't be capable to make out face beyond 20' it will display activity with relative clarity.
Wired setup for this IP camera was a breeze. Simply plug it in more than your LAN and your monitoring plan will obtain it. The wireless setup was a bit tricky. It will take a bit of playing around with ahead of you get the settings appropriate. You will require to plug the camera into a wired network to setup the wireless connection.
The computer software that comes with this item is a joke. You can't mask areas you do not want monitored, the camera controls are horrible and it is tricky to navigate. I went with Blue Iris to record and monitor my method. My advice is to junk the application and use something that operates.

This assessment is for the 1st Nexus 543 I ordered. The second 1 arrived out of focus, I will most likely do a assessment on that one also.
This problem started inside 24 hours and continues day and evening. The camera is mounted. Loftek offered to replace the camera, but I ordered a new one (again, it arrived and is out of concentrate)Loftek Nexus 543 outdoor wireless/wired waterproof IP camera 4mm lens and 70° viewing angle,36 Infrared LEDs with night vision up to 25M,very easy installation, Silver grey.
On the upside, I am extremely very good at installing these cameras. I've had 3 so far, 2 of these and one particular Loftek CXS 3200. The CXS stopped working in a awesome room, inside their stated temp specs.
All 3 make a rapidly ticking when in night mode. If you want audio, decent luck.
